Abstract

This research is motivated by the emergence of phenomena in Semarang society that are served online and conventional based public transportation services. This phenomenon triggers the question of what factors are considered by the Semarang people in deciding to use transportation services. The object of this research is Go-jek and BRT. This research technique uses insidential sampling. The population used was 100 respondents then divided into 50 Go-jek respondents and 50 BRT respondents. To get qualitative data that is converted into quantitative data, the Likert scale is used to measure the independent and dependent variables. By way of confronting a respondent to a question. Then the question is made into a questionnaire using Google Form then distributed to respondents through social media Facebook, Whatshapp and Instragram. To determine the average value of the decision factor differences in this study using the t-test to determine the value of the difference between Go-jek and BRT so that it can be seen the average value statistics. This study also uses two multiple regression analyzes for Go-jek and BRT research objects in analyzing the dependent variable that is the decision to use and the independent variables namely price, service quality and brand image with the Go-jek results Y = 0.955 + 0.352X1 + 0.315X2 + 0,283X3 + µ based on the coefficient of determination has an influence of 65.5%. For the results of the BRT is Y = 0.090 + 0.263X1 + 0.441X2 + 0.252X3 + µ based on the coefficient of determination has an effect of 55.9% Keywords: Decision to Use, Price, Service Quality, Brand Image, Online and Conventional Public Transportation.
