Abstract
PT. Janata Marina Indah is a company engaged in shipping technology, integrating the construction of new ships and docks and ship repair. Fast information technology is needed to make services faster, accurate and based on existing procedures, precise and easy. This study aims to determine the procedures involved in the crane maintenance process. This writing uses the method of observation, interview, and documentation. The method of observation by the writer is by observing directly at PT. Janata Marina Indah. Interview method by asking directly to operational staff at PT. Janata Marina Indah. And the last is the documentation method, namely by searching and collecting data from books, records, and others. The results of this research are that the crane has many important parts that must be maintained so that its operation can work optimally, maintenance that is often done on the crane is checking the blog / pulley (pulley) section. Interference or damage occurs due to lack of care for Derek. Based on observations of the implementation of maintenance on the crane which is carried out periodically, it will extend the life of the crane. Keywords: crane, method, maintenance
