Abstract

The safety of loading and unloading workers at the port is influenced by several factors, including workers' health, personal protective equipment and weather conditions. Of the three, have an important role in improving Worker Safety with satisfactory results. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence or absence of worker health, personal protective equipment and weather conditions on worker safety at PT. Port of Indonesia III In this study, the population of the study were port workers and staff in the city of Semarang with a sampling system of 100 respondents (sample). The variables in the study consisted of: Worker Health independent variable (X.1), Personal Protective Equipment (X.2), and Weather Conditions (X.3) and the dependent variable, namely Worker Safety (Y). The data collection method used is the questionnaire method. The results of the analysis with the statistical tools of the SPSS V.24 program obtained multiple linear regression equations Y = -0.087+ 0, 222X1 + 0.388X2 + 0.368X3 + µ. The results of the multiple linear equation show that there is a positive and significant influence between Occupational Health on Worker Safety (t count 2.471> t table of 1.66071), Personal Protective Equipment on Worker Safety (t count 4.079 > t table of 1.98472), Conditions Weather on Worker Safety (t count 3,299 > t table of 1.98472), individually, worker health, personal protective equipment and weather conditions affect worker safety. The effect of the three research variables is very strong with the coefficient value (R Square) obtained by 67.9% on Worker Safety and 32.1% influenced by undetected variables in this study. Keywords: Worker Health, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Weather Conditions and Worker Safety.
