Abstract

Sailing safety is very important and occupies a central position in all aspects of the shipping world. Devotion to sailing safety tends to result in material, medical, environmental pollution and loss of life. However, seeing cases of ship accidents which are increasing from year to year and the number of casualties is increasing, sailing safety needs extra attention. This study aims to determine the effect of ship arrival time, loading and unloading process, ship departure on KMP sailing safety. Garda Maritim by PT. Multi Guna Maritim at the Kayangan-Pototano crossing, East Lombok and the sample used in this study were 90 respondents. The sampling technique used was probability sampling with the type of sampling, namely simple random sampling. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive and quantitative analysis, then the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help (software) Statistic Package for Social Science (SPSS). Hypothesis test results show that the variables of Ship Arrival Time, Loading and Unloading Process, and Ship Departure have a partial effect on Sailing Safety. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained Y = -0.997 + 0.363 X1 + 0.340 X2 + 0.361 X3 + µ. From this equation, it is known that the variable that has the most dominant influence on Sailing Safety is the Ship Arrival Time variable with a regression coefficient of 0.363. The R2 (R square) test results in 0.574 or 57.4%, which means that sailing safety is influenced by the variables of the time of arrival of the ship, the loading and unloading process, the departure of the ship, which is 57.4% and other factors that affect sailing safety, namely 42, 6%. Keywords: Ship Arrival Time, Loading and Unloading Process, and Ship Departure.
