Abstract

THE IMPORTANCE OF ESTIMATING AND CALCULATING THE EARTH OF SEA WATER SURFACE AS AN EFFORT IN SUPPORTING SAFETY OF THE PAYMENT IN TANJUNG EMAS AREA BY THE METEOROLOGY AGENCY, CLIMATOLOGY, AND GEOPHYSICS (BMKG) SEMARANG Ups and downs are sea level fluctuations due to the attraction of objects in the sky, especially the sun and moon to the mass of sea water on earth. Tidal conditions can be known or predicted by means of tidal component calculations. Calculation of tidal components with the assumption that the earth is in equilibrium. This study aims to determine the process of tidal data collection in the waters of Tanjung Mas Port, Semarang, Central Java by using the method of admiralty. The study was conducted on December 18, 2017 - February 18, 2018 in the waters of Tanjung Mas Port, Semarang, Central Java. Data taken in this research is tidal data and coordinate of research location. While the research method used is a case study where the research results are analyzed and modeled with Microsoft Excel software. In predicting the tides it takes the amplitude data and the different phases of each tidal generating component. The purpose of this research is to know the characteristics of HHWL, LLWL, MSL, and the type of tidal and its value. The result of the research using admiralty method shows the Tidal Types of the Port of Tanjung Mas Semarang is a mixture of double daily skew with the value of formzahl 1.6262. The MSL tidal elevation value is 95.07 cm, HHWL of 144.58 cm, LLWL of 47.42 cm. • HHWL = highest high water level • LLWL = lowest low water level • MSL = mean sea level Key words : Tidal, Admiralty Method, Microsoft Excel
