Abstract

This paper describes everything that is related to the process of lift on and lift off activities, especially in the import dan export container. To achieve the objectives of the problems contained in the study include what documents are used in elevator on and lift off activities, how are the procedures for lift on and lift off activities and what obstacles are encountered in the process of lift on and lift activities off. Lift on and off container activities are sometimes not in accordance with the procedures specified so that it can inhibit the smooth loading off containers. Based on data collection carried out during terrestrial practice (PRADA) the author used several methods including observation, interview, and document analysis methods. The results of the study concluded that in applying the procedure of lift on and lift off container in the depot is an obligation for members involved in loading and unloading activities. Lift on dan lift off activites in the depot are important activites besides being income from inside the depot and the smooth loading and unloading process to and from the ship and also to reduce labor costs and standard ship costs at the port.
