Abstract

Safety is a safe condition, in a condition that is safe physically, socially, spiritually, financially, politically, emotionally, work, psychologically, or educationally and avoiding threats to these factors. In a safety cruise activity is a very important factor and is always maintained so that a zero accident is created. This study aims to determine the effect of regulation, navigation, crew and shipping lanes partially and simultaneously on the safety of shipping on ships owned by the Mediterrannean Shipping Company. The population in this study was the Mediterrannean Shipping Company Fruit Ships with a sample of 92 respondents. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with the type of sampling that is simple random sampling. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of (Statistical) Software Package For Social Science (SSPS). The research results obtained by Navigating the t value of 1,900 while the t table of 1,98761 shows the value of t count <t table of 0.05 then Ho is accepted that Navigation has no effect. Regulations obtained t count value of 3.847 and t table value of 1.98761 that t arithmetic> t table of 0.05 then Ha is accepted showing a positive influence Regulation. The subordinates obtained t count value of 2.853 and t table value of 1.98761 that t count> t table of 0.05 then Ha is accepted showing the subordinates having a positive effect. Sailing Flow obtained t value of 4.594 and t table value of 1.98761 that t arithmetic> t table of 0.05 indicates that the Shipping Flow has a positive effect. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained by the equation Y = -1.770 + 0.327 X1 + 0.215 X2 + 0.262 X3 + 0.331 X4 + μ. From the regression equation it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing shipping safety is the regulatory variable with a regression coefficient of 0.327. And the obtained coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square = 0.638) means 63.8% while the rest (100% -63.8% = 36.2%) is influenced by other variables outside the study or outside the regression equation model. Keywords: regulation, navigation, crew, shipping lanes and shipping safety
