Abstract
This research is motivated by the increasing needs of the community, including in the field of rail transportation. Train is a means of transportation that is in great demand by people today. Over time, the demand for services using trains has increased and must be fulfilled. Besides, the best and satisfying service is provided by the railway company. This study aims to see the effect of the effect of ticket prices, publication and system quality partially on train ticket purchasing decisions. The population in this study were train passengers who used train services several times or only once in January 2020. While the sample in this study was 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this study was nonprobability sampling and the type of sampling used was purposive sampling. Analysis of the data used in this research is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of (software) Statistics Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results of the research by testing the t-test hypothesis partially show that ticket prices, publication and system quality have a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase train tickets through online ticket reservations. Based on the research results it can be seen that the multiple linear equation research model is: Y = 0.473 + 0.200X1 + 0.474X2 + 0.257X3 + µ. From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing purchasing decisions is the publication variable with a coefficient of 0.474. And the results of the R2 (R Square) test are 0.618 or 61.8%, which means that the purchase decision for train tickets is variable ticket prices, system quality and publications as well as other factors that influence the purchase decision of a train ticket by 38.2%. Keywords: ticket prices, publications, system quality and purchasing decisions.
