Abstract
In this study, four research variables were analyzed by the role of martyrdom, ship's sea worthiness and ISM Code as the independent variable affecting the dependent variable, namely shipping safety. Problem formulation, research objectives and hypotheses in this study were to analyze the positive and significant influence individually between the independent variables, namely the role of the martyr, the feasibility of the ship's sea and ISM Code on the dependent variable, namely shipping safety. In this study the object taken was the crew of the ship and the martyrdom officer in the port of Tanjung Emas Semarang. Data sources include primary and secondary data. The sample in this study were 70 respondents who were ship crews and martyrdom officers at the Semarang court. The data analysis technique is a multiple linear regression technique, based on the results of research and data analysis resulting in the regression equation: Y = 0,142 + 0,389X1 + 0,186X2 + 0,410X3 + µ The results of multiple linear regression equations show that there is a partially positive and significant influence between the role of the bandband, the feasibility of the ship's sea and ISM Code while determination coefficient gets R square value of 0.610 so 61.0% shipping safety is explained by the 3 variables, while the remaining 39.0 % is the influence of other variables not included in this study. Based on the analysis carried out, it was concluded that the ISM Code was in the first rank of the three variables that affect the shipping safety variable in the Semarang court, then from testing the hypothesis that the alleged role of the porter, the reliability of the ship and ISM Code had a positive and significant effect on shipping safety has been verified.
