Abstract
Port State Control (PSC) is a supervisor to enforce the convention provisions on shipping safety and protection of the marine environment and working conditions of crew members at sea and also conduct inspection, verification and certification on foreign ship. The duty of the Port State Control is to checking ships documents or certificates that are signed by the ship's captain. The purpose of this study is to find out the Port State Control (PSC) Optimization in Sailing Safety, Guarding and Patrol in the Operations Area of the Class III Juwana Port Operator Unit. The data collecting medhode used by the author in this study by using various methods, namely the method of direct observatio, documentary methods such as photographs and related data library, interview methods, namely interviens and study books methods. The results of this study of Optimization of Port State Control (PSC) in Sailing Safety, Guarding and Patrol in the Operational Area of the Port III Juwana Port Operator Unit has been well implemented, this is proofed by the implementation of detailed inspection.
