Abstract
Writing this paper aims to explain about the optimization of the making of passage plans in MV.NAMEERA and its effects on navigation safety. As for the background of this writing because there are many causes of ship accidents, due to the lack of checking officers when making passage plans. Shipping safety is a condition where safety and security requirements are met with regard to transportation in waters, at ports and in the maritime environment. For the sake of smooth sailing activities, passage plans are the most important factors to ensure security, safety and smoothness of each voyage. Especially in navigation safety. Passage plans are very important in navigation safety due to identifying potential problems or hazards along the shipping route to be navigated.
