Abstract
CHARACTERISTICS OF SEA TIDES IN BENOA PORT USING AUTOMATIC WEATHER STATION (AWS) BMKG DATA The Benoa bay waters are located in the southeastern part of the island of Bali, a semi-enclosed area with a fairly narrow bay mouth that separates the island of Serangan and Tanjung Benoa. Using this AWS BMKG data shows that sea level in Benoa port has a pattern similar to Dishidros AL tidal data patterns, but different in high and low tide values. The purpose of this is to find out the pattern of sea level in the waters of the Benoa bay, which is also to determine the level of the sea level associated with tides. Tidal types that occur in general at Benoa port are Tidal Mixed Single Tide (Mixed Tide, Prevailing Diurnal) types. The method used in conducting research is by observing both directly and using AWS equipment. By carrying out this research will produce data that can be used in daily life such as estimating when and what time will occur tidal sea water and also receding sea water. It can be concluded that the tides can be anticipated by estimating when they will come by using this AWS tool so that tidal information can be conveyed quickly to the public.
