Abstract
The fire pump system is one of the vital components of the vessel. As for prevention as well as fire prevention, so in need of vital care for this system.The cause of the damageassorted leakage on seal or gland packing, bent axle, broken bearing, leaking casing and others. Such minor damage if not handled seriously can damage the pump system. diagnosing the damage such as observation on the pump is necessary, such as sound, pump heat, pump odor, and flow and pump preasure is very important. and one of the most common causes is human error. There fore routine maintenance such as cleaning at the pump is required and routine checking of bearings of wear, corrosion that can inhibit the flow of water in the pump and lubrication for the pump.
