Abstract

SYSTEM OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF FRESH WATER GENERATOR TO MAXIMIZE THE PRODUCTION OF FRESH WATER IN KMP. RAJAWALI NUSANTARA The Fresh Water Generator (FWG) operation and maintenance system has a very important role to produce fresh water as a daily necessity on board and also as a cleaning purpose or even as a cooling medium for other important machines so that there is no shortage of fresh water on board. Whereas for the needs of ship engines, namely as a coolant for main engines and generators, tankers are used as cargo tank washers, etc. To get the data needed in this writer, the data collection method is done by means of writing (writing). This writing is intended to obtain primary data, primary data collection is obtained through interviews or interviews. Maintenance of Fresh Water Generators is very important, because considering how important fresh water is for our needs on board, it is necessary to maintain Fresh Water Generators. Problems due to reduced production of Fresh Water Generators, causing a shortage of fresh water on board. So that fresh water production does not decrease every time the ship is in a slightly shallow area or sea, always clean the tubes when the Fresh Water Generator is in a stop state.
