Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview and a deeper understanding of the process of handling imported container containers at PT.Berkah Multi Cargo Logistics Surabaya. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which explains a problem using data that cannot be measured by numbers. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were collected by interview, literature study and direct observation in the research object, while secondary data were obtained from books and other sources relating to behandle container activities. The results of the study can be concluded that the behavioral handling process conducted by PT.Berkah Multi Cargo Logistics Surabaya there are a lot of activities carried out by the company. In the process of handling containers, the main documents that must be included in the activity are. Red Line Notification Letter (SPJM), Notification of import of goods, Bill of lading, Certificate of origin, Packing list, Invoce, Letter of request for transfer of container storage location. Suggestions that can be given in the process of handling behavior at PT.Berkah Multi Cargo Logistics Surabaya is that the depot should coordinate with relevant agencies namely Customs in the process of handling the behavior.
