Abstract
PT. Pelayaran Bahtera Adhiguna is a shipping company engaged in ship agency services. Activities include bulk goods and general cargo transportation services, timber transportation, ship agency services, EMKL, loading / unloading from / to ships, shipyards and supporting activities. In handling the arrival of bulk carrier vessels, PT. Pelayaran Bahtera Adhiguna branch Cilacap is required to be able to provide maximum services so that in this activity can run smoothly and well that can increase the confidence of related parties to the system that has been set, both before the ship rests, as long as the ship is at the port and until the ship exits the port. In collecting data, the authors use primary data and secondary data. Primary data is done by interview directly to the parties concerned. Whereas secondary data is obtained from books, notes, reports, and archives that are usually obtained by the media. From the results of written works it can be concluded that efforts to improve ship agency services by PT. Pelayaran Bahtera Adhiguna is with efficient handling time when the ship enters and exits so that it will avoid delays which will add to the cost and management of ship documents in carrying out clear and effective clearance and loading and unloading so as to increase customer satisfaction and trust.
