Abstract
In this study analyzed five variables of work environment, compensation, work motivation, work discipline as independent variables that affect the dependent variable, namely employee performance. The problem in this study is the employees of PT. Mediterranean Shipping Company that often arrives late. The method in this study is descriptive method and quantitative method. In this research object taken is employees of PT. Mediterranean Shipping Company. Data sources include primary and secondary data. The sample in this study were 42 respondents who were employees. The results obtained in the study indicate that there is a positive and significant effect partially and simultaneously between the work environment on employee performance (t count = 0.364> t table = 2.021), compensation for employee performance (t count = 0.405> t table = 2.021) and work motivation on employee performance (t count = 0.298> t table = 2.021), work discipline on employee performance (t count = 0.360> t table = 2.021) while the determination coefficient gets R square value of 0.561 thus 56.1% performance is explained by these 4 variables, while the remaining 43.9% is the influence of other variables not included in this study.
