Abstract

The main discussion in the writing o this paper is about the standardization off container terminals by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia 1. There are several background problems that must be resolved by the author, namely the application of standart loading and unloading containers, loading and unloading equipment, the advantages of CTOS, barriers to the use of CTOS at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia 1 barnch BICT Medan. Is a loading and unloading company serving container loading and unloading. The purpose o writing this paper is none other than the application o standaridized terminal containers, obstacles in thr use of CTOS applications. Based on data collection conducted during lan practice (Prada), the author uses several methods, namely interviews, observation, document studies, and focus group discussion as ell as the source and the type o data. The result of this paper are the standardization of services in the proces of loading and unloading, the role of CTOS in the standardization of container loding and unloading proces, the advantages of CTOS in the loading and unloading process, obstacles in the use of CTOS, to the achive optimal loading and un loading services, loading and unloading equipment is needed qualified and experienced operators and good internet network to support CTOS applications.
