Abstract
The Influence Of Facilities And Equipment To Understand The Effect Of Unloading Of Salt In The Wharf PT.Pelabuhan Indonesia III (PERSERO) Cabang Terminal Tegal To support the smooth loading and unloading of logs in the terminal tegal port of PT. Facilities that are used include roads, borders, venders, warehouses, docks, forklifts, cranes. Damaged roads will prevent salt loading and unloading activities. If the vender is damaged, the ship cannot anchor properly. For this reason, port facilities play an important role in supporting the smooth loading and unloading of salt. If one port facility is damaged, loading and unloading activities will be disrupted and will cause damage. Losses that will have an impact on the company's performance. With developments taking place at the port, problems arise more complex so that it requires the right equipment to complete and find the best solutions for the company's progress and economic progress in Indonesia, especially in Central Java. The total flow of goods received (accepted) or exited (shipped) from the port each year causes increased loading and unloading activities in the port division of Tegal often get problems such as problems / factors that arise such as damaged road facilities, border broken broken vender, port congestion factor. Port congestion is a factor that arises if the port storage capacity is not proportional to the number of ships entering the port causing ship queues, dependence on ship schedule changes is also caused due to waiting for complete documents, workers lacking skills or not meeting human resource standards ( SDM), and lack of trucking equipment, which reduces the speed of work and unfavorable weather is also an obstacle to the smooth loading and unloading of salt.
