Abstract
The Role Of Distrik Navigasi Kelas I Tanjungpinang In an Effort To Optimize The Function and Role Of Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) In Kepulauan Riau indonesia is also called a maritime country because Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world with an ocean area of approximately 3,273,810 km². In order to maintain the security and safety of sailing, the government of the Republic of Indonesia established a Vessel Traffic Service (VTS). It is to maintain security and safety on shipping. Safety & security guards aim to avoid the danger of navigation that threatens shipping. The purpose of this study is to find out the role of the Distrik Navigasi Kelas I Tanjungpinang in an Effort to Optimize the Function and Role of Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) in the Kepulauan Riau. Data collection methods used are by field research methods, documentation methods, and literature study methods. The results of this paper that the role of the Distrik Navigasi Kelas I Tanjungpinang in an effort to optimize the function and role of the Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) in the Kepulauan Riau is very important in regulating ship traffic in the waters for the safety and security of shipping.
