Abstract
To improve shipping safety and security, a Tanjung Emas Port Class I Port Authority and Authority Office has a special employee named a marine inspector. The marine inspector is a ship safety inspection officer who has attended and passed the ship safety education and training and has been confirmed and appointed by the Minister of Transportation. The purpose of this paper is to understand the role of marine inspectors in the Tanjung Emas Semarang Class I Port Authority and Authority Office for the feasibility of ship safety. The data collection method used is field research that uses collection techniques (observation), interview techniques (interviews), and documentation methods. The results of this paper on the role of the marine inspector at the Tanjung Emas Semarang Class I Port Authority and Authority for the feasibility of ship safety are very important for the realization of security in sailing.
