Abstract
Optimalizing The Crew Ship Proficiency On Operation Life Saving Appliances And Fire Fighting Appliances Also The Maintenance Mechanism On Board Of KM. Bintang Jasa 31 Owned By PT. Kanaka Line Fire could happen everywhere and anywhere. On a voyage the risk of getting fire on board is pretty great. That why fire is second on the accident rank on board of a ship. To ensure the safrty of all crews, cargo/passanger and ship International Maritime Organization (IMO) made rules on how to manage a ship and marine polution. For example, to put off fire, it depent on the location and the cause it, because the prosedure separated the fire triangle and the composing, cooling and the insulating techniques are depent a the cause of fire . As on cases fire could cause abandon vessel. This related to Life Saving Appliances on board of the ship and how to operate them, the purpose of this study is to know optimalizing the crew ship proficiency on operation Life Saving Appliances and Fire Fighting Appliances also the maitenance mechanism on board of KM. Bintang Jasa 31 owned by PT. Kanaka Line. The data collecting method used were research field, library study, and documentary methods which using observation and interview techniques. The result of this study that optimalization the crew ship proficiency on operating Life Saving Appliances and Fire Fighting Appliances also the maintenance mechanism on board of KM. Bintang Jasa 31 owned by PT. Kanaka Line has been done and optimalized as instrusted on the standard operational procedure on Life Saving Appliances and Fire Fighting Appliances operating and maintenance mechanism.
