Abstract

PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Branch of Tanjung Emas Semarang is one of the states – own company (BUMN) which is engaged in the port terminal operator services. PT. PELINDO III branch of Tanjung Emas Semarang provide facilities for ships and goods services. There already exists a jetty called an Samudra jetty. In the jetty is a place where the ship is berthing and conducting cargo operation. Discharging of cargo is the transfer cargo from ship to shore in use for land transportation. During cadets have an practise in PT. Pelindo III (Persero) Branch of Tanjung Emas Semarang look and pay attention to the process of discharging the fertilizer in the Samudra 02 jetty. To be able to discharge fertilizer from the ship there are stages that must be done. As of the filing of PPKB to PPSA then ship berthing and operational checks performed after completion of all services performed discharging fertilizer from the ship to a warehouse stacking through truck fleet. At the time of discharging at the Samudra 02 jetty using tools including ship cranes, grabs, hoppers, truck and loader. Problems most often occurs when loading such as a shortage of truck fleet, or rainy weather factors and discharging equipment failure. Those, in the process of dismantling the fertilizer to note checking equipment and discharging facilities carefully so that when the discharging process does not happen problems that hamper.
