Abstract
In an effort to improve the smoothness of inspection so that in its activities can be on time and in accordance with the schedule set by the company, then the goods inspection activities must run smoothly and without obstacles that can disrupt the smooth loading and unloading process. In this paper the author determines the formulation of the problem, including what constraints often occur in carrying out the cargo inspection process in containers, what efforts are made in optimizing inspection of containers in containers. In this paper the research method used is a qualitative method that describes and describes the object under study and the interview method, namely conducting interviews directly with employees about the examination of the counter, including the Analyzing Point section, the prosecution section and the investigation section. Based on the analysis that inspection of the load cannot be carried out regularly so that it causes frequent damage to the load which of course the inspection process is hampered or disturbed. This is generally due to the lack of personnel in the inspection of cargo, usually the amount of cargo that must be checked too much for a inspector and sometimes the disassembly part also lacks ozone, not optimal inspection causes the load to be late to increase. From the discussion of the problem it can be seen that the company must establish procedures and inspection management to be maintained, establish procedures in the safety management system to identify operational failures Based on these conclusions it can be concluded that the examination of the load is not optimal resulting in waste of time. The suggestion that can be conveyed is that it is better for the company to send the number of examiners to adjust the amount of cargo to be examined. Keyword: Container, examination
