Abstract

Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world, became the largest archipelago in the world, the security of shipping system in the waters of Indonesia became the main thing that should be taken into consideration. With security in shipping lanes Indonesia, the government requires that each port has a traffic VTS for the ship.Operation VTS using an application system incorporated and displayed in a computer screen output. This paper aims to give insight to readers governance role of the VTS when entering a port.The method in use in the writing of this paper is put on the method of observation and documentation. Of the method can be concluded that the results of this research on existing devices a needed in the VTS, the functions of the VTS, and also services that will be provided from VTS for the ships service user at the time of entering a tanjung emas harbor.
