Abstract
the role of navigational aid on safety course at Distrik Navigasi Kelas II Semarang Jawa Tengah The cruise course is a part of waters that made by nature or human which its depth, width and other things and safe for ships navigation. Ship should always sail on the safe course, it is to avoid collusion, a ground and also sinking. Navigational aids are equipment made by nature or human which out of the ship to help the officer to determine the ships that reconing posistion, the course, emergency also obstacle that could endanger the ship. The purpose of this study is to know the role of navigational aid on safety course at Distrik Navigasi Kelas II Semarang Jawa Tengah. The method of data collection were fiels research and documentation method which used observation and interview. The result of the study that role of navigational aid on safety course at Distrik Navigasi Kelas II Semarang Jawa Tengah is very important and very helpful it proved with there were no accident at Distrik Navigasi Kelas II Semarang Jawa Tengah for the last 3 years.
