Abstract

Anchor wacth by the rules standard of training certification and watchkeeping (stcw) amandemen 2010 at MT. SOECHI CHEMICAL VII by PT. EQUATOR MARITIME In Chapter VIII Standard of Training Certification And Watchkeeping (STCW) 1978 The 2010 Amendment section A-VIII / I states guidelines relating to the ability to serve and prevent fatigue at the time of the duty service with a rest period of at least 10 hours per 24 hour period. It is recommended that officers or crew should be more accountable when carrying out the Anchor Watch duties to be more organized and well executed in accordance with the rules of the STCW Amendment 2010. The problems that occur are due to deviation of guard time that occurs on board MT. Soechi Chemical VII when the ship is docked exceeding the 8 hours working hours according to the rules applied by the International STCW Amendment 2010. Conditions at the time of the study were the lack of organized guard time such as sleeping officer guard while carrying out the duty and overtime on guard natural by the crew that should keep only 4 hours but to be 6 hours. The desired conditions of the guard or crew officers are to follow the method according to the rules in the STCW and to perform the duty on time specified in order to avoid fatigue or neglect while performing anchored anchor service. On board the MT. SOECHI CHEMICAL VII has rules in performing anchor duty (Anchor Watch) so that when the ship anchors anchor does not happen the deviations that occur such as theft, liner, etc. The officer or crew should have a more responsible sense while carrying out the Anchor Watch duties to be more organized and workable in accordance with the rules of the STCW Amendment 2010, in order to avoid undesirable dangers. The data collection of this paper uses literature research and field research with the method of observation and interview method. The result of this paper is the duty service when the ship docked with the working time has been in accordance with the schedule made by the first deck but has not complied with the rules on STCW Amendment 2010.
