Abstract

Sailing is an Activity related to transportation both at sea and at rivers covering, port, shipping , security and aspects safety . Navigating is part of the activity of taking a ship from place to place smoothly and efficiently. therefore knowledge of ship officer’s on navigational equipment is essential. It is to assist officer on watchkeeping optimalizing navigational activities a ship is on voyage. A Navigationaltool is a tool assist navigational activities. Navigational equipment are divided into two,There are conventional navigation equipment and electronic navigation equipment. The rules on navigational activity is stated on the safety of life at sea (SOLAS) 1974 Amandment of 2010 CHAPTER V which contains the rule of security and safety of sea . The purpose of this study is to know about the optimalization of navigation on board of KM. Mutiara Sentosa III owned by PT. Atosim lampung pelayaran.the data collecting method that used were field research on board, Method observation, method interview, and also library method riset. The riset of this study is that optimalization navigational on board of KM. Mutiara Sentosa III owned by PT. Atosim lampung pelayaran as standarized by SOLAS 1974 Amandement 2010, The goverment of Republic Indonesia and the standart Operating Procedures (SOP) Of PT. Atosim Lampung Pelayaran.
