Abstract

In the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) stated about the guidelines related to how to maximise GMDSS to ensure safe navigation and communication during underway to prevent human error when emergency exist. All officers must be well-understood to use this equipment due to some incident happened caused of miss understand to use this equipment. The purpose of this study is to know the service implementation to use GMDSS equipment when underway on MT. FASTRON are in accordance with the GMDSS MANUAL. Data retrieval this paper using research libraries and research field by the method of observation and interview methods. The results of this study is the using standard to use this equipment to increase safe navigation and communication during underway accordance with GMDSS Regulation and Standards Using .
