Abstract
MAXIMIZING USE OF BREAKING PACKAGES IN THE MV SHIP. MENTARI PERSADA BELONGS TO PT. MENTARI SARANA PERSADA To support the course of the discharge and loading process to stop or jam due to the ship crane number 2, then we need to think about the maintenance or replacement of componentson the machine winch number 2. If the alternative maintenance is too long it will increase the cost of preventive care. Medium maintenance and repairs are needed to minimize maintenance and total repair costs by using reliability analysis. To determine the interval of maintenance time and the optimum improvement of critical to tow components, this component reliability analysis uses existing data as a reference to determine optimal maintenance amd repair time. The result of reliability value on the critical component is expected to be used as input to develop optimal maintenance and repair strategy. Optimization of the interval determination of care and optimal improvement in this review is recommended for each component of the system with a reliability index specified that is with the time interval of ship component repairs of ship number 2 and 1.
