Abstract
Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world, being the largest archipelagic country in the world, the security of shipping systems in Indonesian waters is the main thing that must be considered with security considerations in the Indonesian shipping lanes, the Government requires that each Port has VTS to regulate ship traffic . The operation of VTS uses an application system that is incorporated and displayed in a computer screen output. This paper aims to provide readers with insight into the role of VTS when ships will enter the port. The data collection method used in writing this paper is the method of observation and documentation. The results of this paper are various types of equipment needed in the VTS component for commercial vessels that enter and exit the Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang.
