Abstract

Optimizing the Clearance Process and Clearance out MT. Raka Surya 2.0 at PT. Hanlyn Jaya Mandiri Agency shipping transportation is increasing as demand for economic commodities occurs in the global market. Of course, shipping must include the port in economic optimization. In port activities, it cannot be separated from agency which supports the stability of ongoing activities. In this case, PT. Hanlyn Jaya Mandiri acts as an agent who manages the arrival and departure of ships in the port, takes care of the needs of the ship while at the port and calculates the disbursment account while at the port. So from that the author is interested in knowing the agency activities in the management of clearance in and clearance out on a ship that was assigned. This study uses Observation and Interview methods. The method of observation by the author is to observe directly at the port of Tanjung Perak Surabaya and be involved in the implementation of clearance. Interview method by asking directly to the agent or operational staff of PT. Hanlyn Jaya Mandiri. The results of this study are the In-Clearance and Clearance Out process at MT. Raka Surya 2.0 is very satisfying because it is based on procedures according to applicable regulations.
