Abstract
Tidal Characteristics and Rob Flood Phenomenon In the city of Semarang Semarang City is located in a relatively low area, at an altitude of three meters above sea level. In certain regions there is even one meter above sea level. In mountainous areas it has a height of 90-359 meters above sea level while in low-lying areas it has a height of 0.75 - 3.5 meters above sea level. Because of its low location, when heavy rains or sea tides can cause flooding. The existence of a high rob in Semarang greatly disrupts the daily activities of people living in the coastal area of Semarang City, so it is necessary to study the tidal characteristics and tidal floods that occur in the city of Semarang. The general tidal type that occurs in Semarang is the type of tidal mix of single daily inclines (Mixed Tide, Prevailing Diurnal). The method used in conducting research is by conducting observations both directly and using digital equipment that is already available. By carrying out this research will produce data that can be used in daily life such as estimating when and at what time the tidal flood will come and take immediate precautions. So it can be concluded that rob flood can be anticipated by estimating when will come and immediately take preventive measures such as building a bull or installing a water pump to restore sea water that meets the land.
