Abstract
Passenger and Vehicle Loading Process Based on Stability in MV. Dharma Kencana PT. Dharma Lautan Utama Semarang Branch Stability or The balance of the ship, is the nature or tendency of a ship to return to its original position after getting a fierce or tilt caused by external forces. Therefore stability is closely related to the shape of the ship, cargo, draft, and size of GM values. The position of M (metacentrum) is almost fixed according to the style of the ship, center B (bouyancy) is moved by the draft while the center of gravity varies in position depending on the load. This paper aims to determine the process of loading passengers and vehicles based on stability in KM. Dharma Kencana PT. Dharma Lautan Utama Semarang from aspects of ship stability, and finding efforts to improve safety. The method used is descriptive type. Descriptive understanding according to my ideas and thoughts is writing that contains exposure, description, and explanation of an object as it is at a certain time and does not draw conclusions that apply in general. The written work proves that the process of loading passengers and vehicles at PT. Semarang Dharma Lautan Utama has been calculated based on systematic loading stability.
