Abstract
ACCURATE POSITIONING OF SHIPS WITH BEARING SYSTEM IN MT. DEWI MAESWARA Accurate positioning of ships not only avoids the occurrence of ship accidents, but also ensures the safety of ships in shipping. Positioning in shipping terms is called Plotting position done by using the system manually and electronically, the result is determining the position of the ship using the system. In realizing effective and safe ship positioning during the vessel positioning process it is necessary to know the theory and practice of the methods of the system and the provisions concerning the safety of the vessel. Arranging ship positioning planning should also take into account the methods of the new system. With due regard to the principle of cargo planning, so that loading and unloading can be done properly, regularly and systematically which will create an accurate and efficient ship positioning results, in ship service. Optimization of ship positioning is what determines the safety of ships in the voyage from one port to another port. Keywords: Plotting Position, Bearing System, Safety Voyage
