Abstract

The Republic of Indonesia is an archipelago country that has a vast ocean that separates some of the Islands or countries so that the adhesive is needed between the Islands or countries, causing traffic and ocean freight as well as the harbour became very important adhesive media. In addition, security and safety of the voyage in the waters is so important in traffic and ocean freight as well as the port. In Pekanbaru Sea Transportation Means are needed. This research was done using descriptive quantitative method.The purpose of this research to determine the quality of service Kesyahbandaran and Port Authority Office Class III. And the sample in this study is agent of the shipping company and using incidental sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study conducted by direct observation. Mechanical testing of hypothesis testing data using t-test. The results obtained in this study is the level of security and safety in the process of arriving and departing ships the level of service that was provided to the Office of the Kesyahbandaran and Port Authority Office Class III Pekanbaru dealer in serving the Agent Pekanbaru shipping company still below average. Because Kesyahbandaran and Port Authority Office Class III Pekanbaru able to able to continue to improve the quality of service so that Sea transport companies in particular Agent on duty was satisfied with the service provided so Agents will be more comfortable in utilizing the services in . Because Kesyahbandaran and Port Authority Office Class III Pekanbaru. The advice of researchers in this regard as one of the public agencies must always perform a range of policies that can give service excellence and quality against the cruise agent in utilizing the existing services.
