Abstract
The Loading and Discharging Process of Batang Power Plant Construction Materials by MV. GINTO Administrated by PT. ARPENI PRATAMA OCEAN LINE, Tbk. As the demand for electricity in Indonesia keeps growing, power plants needs to be built. In building a power plant, it needs heavy construction material which needs special transportation. Therefore, vessels are required to transporting the construction materials. Preparation before loading and discharging activities is very important to make the activities run properly. Especially with the cargoes of power plant construction materials which have different handling technique due to their different shapes, sizes, and types. Implementation of the loading and discharging activities should be in accordance to the stowage plan to obtain maximum stability and to prevent broken stowage. The purpose of this study is to discover the loading and discharging process of Batang Power Plant construction materials by MV. GINTO administrated by PT. ARPENI PRATAMA OCEAN LINE, Tbk.. Data collection methods used are documentation, literature study, and field research methods used observation and interview techniques. The results of this study that the loading and discharging process of Batang Power Plant construction materials by MV. GINTO administrated by PT. ARPENI PRATAMA OCEAN LINE, Tbk. had been running smoothly proved with the completion of loading and discharging process according to its schedule.
