Abstract
The unevenness of inter-regional trade volumes results in the excess of empty containers in one area, and the shortage of empty containers in the other. The limitation of the shortage area capability in the excess area of the empty container causes problems for terminal managers to manage terminal operational activities. This problem is caused due to limited space in the container terminal. The container management will perform empty allocation of the cointainer in order to ensure the smooth operation of the container terminal. As a party that uses the terminal operator services and has empty containers, the shipping line will be affected by the decision of the decision made by the terminal authority. In this study the object of study is the container terminal of Pontianak port. PT Jaya Lancar Cargo entity represents the viewpoint of the container terminal manager, and the shipping line entity represents the container point of view. Developed allocation scenario with PT Jaya Lancar Cargo approach dominant in empty container allocation and shipping line as the party affected by the return of decision from terminal manager.
