Abstract
Optimizing Safety Navigating In Accordance With the 1974 Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS) Convention at KMP. TITIAN NUSANTARA Navigating is an activity to ship from one place to another. Navigation equipment is very helpful for ship activities while sailing and also moving, when entering crowded or narrow waters and when sailing in bad weather conditions. Knowledge of Navigation tools is very important to help an officer guarding the platform to ship. Navigating rules and navigation tools have been listed in the SOLAS 1974/1978 Convention. The purpose of the authors compiling this paper is to find out the basic knowledge of navigating according to the SOLAS 1974/1978 Convention. Keywords : Optimization, Safety, Navigation, SOLAS.
