Abstract
The National Search and Relief Agency has the main task of carrying out coaching, coordinating, and controlling the potential of SAR in search and rescue activities for people and material lost, as well as providing assistance in disasters and other calamities in accordance with national and international SAR regulations. At the same time he knew the duties and responsibilities of Basarnas in conducting search and assistance. In this paper SAR work system is the object of the author's research, the author's purpose in this paper is to provide information and familiarization about the procedures and mechanism for rescuing victims in the event of a ship accident at sea in an orderly and efficient manner and being able to know what stages are carried out in the process search and help in the event of an accident at sea, as well as introducing any means and infrastructure needed by the SAR team at the time of the distress. The problem solving method used is by observation, interview, literature study, and triangulation. The method can be known SAR actions in rescue must be in accordance with the SAR procedures namely the stages of Recognition, Initial Action, Planning, Operation and Final Assignment. Through this Conventional method when an accident occurs with adequate Facilities and Infrastructure SAR work will be optimal if the search is assisted with the latest SAR tool namely SAR MAP Prediction.
