Abstract
Office of Kesyahbandaran Kelas 1 Banten is a government agency under the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation in charge of implementing supervision, law enforcement in the field of shipping security and security. In realizing the creation of safety and security in sailing, the harbor office has an obligation to ensure that every vessel that will sail needs to be inspected and tested in order to ensure the seaworthiness of ships and maritime environment protection. All ship that in and out of a port are being inpected the inspection is intended to find out whether the ship is seaworthingor not. If it is then the ship will get a seaworthyness certificate, if it is not then the ship cannot go on voyages until she is fulfill the seaworthyness requirement. It is the job of a marine inspector to determine it. Marine inspector inspect the ship based on the procedures, rules and reQuitment that had beer set by the government of Indonesia. The purpose of the study is to know the inpection procedures and mechhanis done by a Marine Inspector at Kesyahbandaran Kelas 1 Banten. The method used in this paperis to use sield research, observation, and interviews. so it can be concluded this study the procedure and menchanism of inspection of vessel by Marine Inspector at the Office of Kesyahbandaran Kelas 1 Banten.
