Abstract

Unpredictable nature often become human barriers to endure a situation. Various life-threatening emergency could occur anytime, anywhere. So, to maximize the existing equipment/sources is very important. The purpose of this study is to know about the procedures and mechanism of water search and rescue also how to survive at sea. The data collecting method used were methods of data collection either by observation, interview, and library research as well as direct observation in the office of BASARNAS Bandung. The result of this study is that using procedures and mechanism on surviving at sea and water rescue help prevent the lost of life and increase the chance to survive.
