Abstract
The main discussion in the writing of this Paper is about handling freight forwarders in handling air freight exports, namely Export Handling by PT. Yusen Logistics Indonesia Surabaya branch of Air freight Shipment Against PT. Surabaya Autocomp Indonesia. There are some background problems that must be resolved in this paper, starting from the main problems in the export of air freight and solutions to overcome them, the role of the freight forwarder in handling export of air freight, the required documents, and related parties. The company is engaged in freight forwarding, a leading foreign capital company providing freight forwarding services in several parts of the continent. In its role as a freight forwarder, this company acts as an intermediary between the shipper (consignee) with the consignee. With the services of this freight forwarder, it will be easier for exporters and importers in shipping and receiving goods from or abroad. The purpose of writing this Paper is none other than to find out the main problems in the export of air freight and solutions to overcome it, the role of freight forwarders in handling air freight exports, the documents required, and related parties. Based on data collection conducted during the land practice the author uses several methods including interview methods, observation methods, document study methods, literature study methods, and the results are obtained that the problems faced by freight forwarders are to bear the risk of loss and damage to cargo when exported, freight forwarders act as executors of air freight exports which help with the documentation making it easier for exporters to carry out the export process, the documents required include Shipping Instruction , Invoice & Packing List, House Air Waybill, Master Air Waybill, PEB, NPE, and BTB.
