Abstract

Employee performance is influenced by various factors including competence, job characteristics and organizational commitment. All three have an important role in influencing employee performance. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is influence of competence, job characteristics and organizational commitment on the performance of employees in the Belu Regency Transportation Office in part or individually. The sample in this study 50 respondents who are employees in the Belu District Transportation Office using saturated sampling. The analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression. Based on the analysis, the regression equation is obtained as follows: Y = 0,306 + 0,259X1 + 0,375X2 + 0,377X3 + μ From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing employee performance is organizational commitment with regression coefficient 0.377 and R2 (Adjusted R Square) test results are 0.709 or 70.9% which means that employee performance is influenced by competency variables, job characteristics and organizational commitment. That is 70.9% and other factors that affect employee performance are 29.1% such as work safety, motivation, organizational culture and others.
