Abstract
PT. Sentra Sentosa Alam Indah as a loading and unloading company with the duties and responsibilities of the cargo transhipment process in collaboration with PT. Intisentosa Alambahtera, which is a company in the field of seaport services, is in Pelabuhan Panjang, Bandar Lampung, which has its own dock and serves the unloading and loading of dry bulk and liquid bulk cargo. The location is on the Sunda Strait and is a strategic point in the flow of trade between Europe, India and Africa. This port is an important base for commodity flows from Kalimantan. PT. ISAB with a pier length of 300 meters, 11,200 square meters is a dry bulk warehouse with a capacity of 60,000 MT of dry bulk cargo and 40,000 MT bags and there is a storage facility for liquid bulk with a capacity of 100,000 MT. Stevedoring activity is one of the activities that support the smooth flow of goods at a port. This loading and unloading activity has several activity processes including : stevedoring, receiving, and delivery. In loading and unloading activities, loading and unloading companies that carry out loading and unloading activities are required to play a role in smoothing the flow of goods. The smooth flow of goods can be achieved if the implementation is supported by skilled Human Resources (HR) and the use of adequate loading and unloading equipment. If one of these is not fulfilled, it will cause a smooth flow of goods. As a result of the uneven flow of goods including losses that can reduce income for the company so that the wages received by laborers also go down. If this goes on for a long period of time it will result in a decrease in the performance of the workers so that the loading and unloading activities cannot run smoothly.
