Abstract

Search and rescue is an activity to search and rescue victims that are missing or face danger on marine, aviation accidents and also natural disasters. The increasing of accidents that occur at water cause a diver to have a high technique to search and rescue the victims. This makes rescuer resources required to have proper techniques and procedures for the quick and proper treatment of the victims. The purpose of the this study to learn about the importance of knowing the functions of each of the scuba equipment and diving techniques as an attempt to optimize the search and rescue victims of water. The method taken by the author were field research carried out during the practice at the Kantor SAR Bandung, the interview that the author did to employees of the Kantor SAR Bandung and also the literature that the authors took from Search and Rescue books. The result of this study that equipment for the search and rescue of victims at water has been completed, especially for scuba equipment and in accordance with regulations Peraturan Kepala Badan SAR Nasional Nomor 14 Tahun 2012 tentang Perlengkapan SAR Perorangan Laut.
