Abstract

Efforts to optimize the rules of the International Safety Management Code (ISM-CODE) on Passenger Transport and Vehicles on MV. Niki Sejahtera Every country that has a water territory must have a sea transportation vessel. The ship is a means of water transport that can be used in the sea and river, so the ship plays an important role for the economy of a nation in advancing the country. The existence of the ship certainly never be separated from the risk of ship accidents that caused several factors such as Human Error, tools and nature. An understanding of safety procedures makes people aware of the use of occupational safety equipment, work equipment maintenance, understanding of work, and working conditions. This refers to the provisions of the International Safety Management Code (ISM- CODE) which regulates safety in ship operations. The purpose of this paper is to find out how to optimize the International Safety Management Code or (ISM-CODE) rules on the transportation of passengers and vehicles on board the MV. Niki Sejahtera at PT. Berlian Lautan Sejahtera. In this paper, the author uses observation and interview techniques and also uses the method of literature study. The results of this paper that attempt to optimize the rules of the International Safety Management Code or (ISM-CODE) on the transport of passengers and vehicles on board the MV. Niki Sejahtera.
