Abstract

This Scientific paper is the result of writer’s observation on SPOB. Julvinda is an oil tanker ship that safety and security of cargo and crew is priority because she carried dangerious goods that will cause many risk of accident that will harm the ship, cargoes, and the crews.Many safety problems like fire, oil spill, working accident etc. And security problems like piracy, theft, stow away, etc. That problems happen because less application of ISM Code and ISPS Code on board. Less application of ISM Code and ISPS Code is because of many related and connected causes. The causes are less awareness of crew about the application of ISM Code and ISPS Code onboard. That happened because of less knowledge of crew about ISM Code and ISPS Code. Thats happened because of less familiarization from company about ISM Code and ISPS Code and how to applicate it onboard.I will analize and solve the problem that related with safety and security on board. Writer try to analize and solve that problem to make conclusion like increase the quality of safety and security onboard with application of ISM Code and ISPS Codeto reduce the safety and security problems on board. Writer use observation and library study methods in this writings. Observation methods is searching information when the writer at ship do the sea project. Library study method is searching reference from the internet and related books from libraries. Keyword :Application, ISM Code, ISPS Code, Safety, Security, SPOB. Julvinda.
