Abstract
In the face of competition in the global era, companies are required to work more efficiently and effectively. Tight competition causes companies to be required to be able to improve competitiveness in order to maintain the survival of the company. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. With a population of all employees of the Kendal Regency Transportation Department and taken as many as 100 respondents. With probability sampling technique type of sample random sampling, data collection using questionnaires, data analysis techniques used are multiple linear regression analysis techniques including validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, and hypothesis testing. The results obtained through multiple linear regression equation Y = 3.325 + 0.016X1 + 0.014X2 + 0.503X3 + 0.221X4 + μ which means that there is a partial positive effect between the work environment and the value of employee performance tcount (2,174)> ttable (1,984) , motivation with employee performance, tcount (2,130)> ttable (1,984), leadership style with employee performance, tcount (3,810)> ttable (1,984), discipline with employee performance, tcount (1,990)> ttable (1,984). The influence of the four research variables is very strong with the correlation coefficient of determination (Adjusted R square) of 53.5. This means that the working environment (X1), motivation (X2), leadership style (X3), discipline (X4) variables have a contribution of 53.5% in influencing employee performance (Y).
