Abstract
The types and determination of surveys of seaworthy vessels according to the type of vessels that exist at the Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang with the rules of the Indonesian Classification office Indonesia is also called a maritime country because Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world with an ocean area of approximately 3,273,810 km or most of Indonesia's territory is a territorial waters. Besides being known as a maritime country, Indonesia is also known as an archipelago with the largest and largest number of islands in the world with 17,508 islands. Indonesia has the potential of very beautiful natural resources in the sea, but behind the beauty and potential that exist in the sea, there are also many problems in the world of shipping that occur in Indonesia today because of the conditions and the incentives of Indonesian-flagged vessels, the Bureau Indonesian classification always surveys whether or not a ship is suitable for sailing for the safety of people and cargo that will sail and prevents pollution from what ships if an accident occurs at sea and always preserves the sea.
